Self Branding Unaware
She drew this mark today. I had to do a double-take when I noticed her name. I asked her if she wrote her name in the drawing. She said, "No." So I traced the name with a red pen. She still denied doing on purpose. I'm still in love with this mark. I could see this as a sort of signature/logo thing. See:

Hattie and Daddy Making Up a Song
Hattie made up all the lyrics. I was goofing around on the guitar and she jumped in with "It's dangerous sitting on a train." I don't know where she got that idea but I love it. So we went with it and recorded it.

James Gracious
Hattie and I made these portraits of James Gracey. James is a good guy that Hattie and I look up to.
I was watching Hattie go to town with the red marker. She slowed down and appeared to be done drawing. I asked her, "Are you done, Hattie?" She siad, "No, one more thing." She drew an L on the neck. Then she laughed because Ls on necks are soooo funny. I asked her again if she was done. "One more thing, Dad." Then she drew the cross bar which turned the L into an A and laughed again.
By the time we got to this one, Hattie was about done with drawing. She tried to make it more interesting by drawing while hanging from my back. I could tell she was scribbling more than she was drawing. Her enthusiasm was sparked again when she got her hands on the watercolor.
