To Make a Short Walk Long…
Hattie and I went for walk. This is what Hattie gathered. And this is what we did with all of it. We had a lot of fun.

James Gracious
Hattie and I made these portraits of James Gracey. James is a good guy that Hattie and I look up to.
I was watching Hattie go to town with the red marker. She slowed down and appeared to be done drawing. I asked her, "Are you done, Hattie?" She siad, "No, one more thing." She drew an L on the neck. Then she laughed because Ls on necks are soooo funny. I asked her again if she was done. "One more thing, Dad." Then she drew the cross bar which turned the L into an A and laughed again.
By the time we got to this one, Hattie was about done with drawing. She tried to make it more interesting by drawing while hanging from my back. I could tell she was scribbling more than she was drawing. Her enthusiasm was sparked again when she got her hands on the watercolor.

I Did It!
Hattie's 2nd time painting in Photoshop: She used a stylus which made it difficult for her to select the color swatch she wanted. When she was successful in grabbing the right color, she'd yell, "I did it!" She filled the canvas with that color. She was careful to not miss a spot. When she filled the entire square, she'd yell, "I did it!" The following is the various in-between moments.

Chalk Board House
I made this house a few days ago. It was easier to make than I thought it would be. Thanks to my dad for letting me use his fancy wood cutting tools.
Wood, chalk board spray paint, and white sharpie paint.
I think I'll paint an entire wall of my office using chalk board paint. It'll be a place for everyone in the family to brainstorm, sketch, and have fun.
